Removing foot well on X series

Well, I don't know if it called a foot well or not but it is the section between the fenders and the dash. Anyway, I have a 540 that I am working on and I want to remove that section. Everything was straight forward until I got to the deck height adjustment knob. Does anyone know how that comes off?

    Thanks for any input.

    Hi Ron,

I am not familiar with the X series but, like some other models, might there be a jamb nut under the adjustment knob that can be loosened then remove the knob ??

Check for a pin, to pull out, between the floor metal & cam.

Pretty sure it just pulls off. They are on pretty tight though.

Thanks to those that posted a reply. In the end it just pulled off...... with a lot of prying. The bottom of the dash has to be removed first as well. Anyway, it is off and sanded down, ready for primer and paint. Looking forward to having all of the work done and then spending some seat time.

    Thanks again.
