Primary belt on GT245 keeps twisting

How do I prevent my primary belt on my GT245 from twisting, which causes the mower from turning the blades, I have a 54C Deck.

First off, make sure the belt is not worn and make sure it's the correct John Deere belt. Don't use aftermarket belts as they will not be to the proper specifications.

Check to be sure all pulleys are inline and that none is bent. Check to be sure the pulleys are clean. Check all tension springs and all idler and/or tension pulleys, ensuring none have worn bearings. Belts twisting and/or coming off is usually caused by those mentioned above, including using aftermarket belts.
