LT166 46in cut hydro gas tank

Which gas tank am I better off with? The one with the plastic fuel line or steel line in the tank? John Deere offers 2 different ones. I have the tank that has the steel line inside of it. I got this today for $25 and gas been there so long it turned black.

IMO, the way the ethanol in the gas these days attacks the plastic fuel lines,I would go with the metal. Under normal conditions (use), the metal ones stay in pretty good condition.

Ok Found 2 used ones that have the plastic lines on ebay for $75 w/shipping but none with the steel lines. Called JohnDeere the appears that the plastic line is the way it comes now. They wanted $116.60 for a new one.

I also need a the hood skirt assembly. John Deere wanted $337.00 for it. They call it a lower hood assembly and all one piece.
