Ok. Now I know I'm in trouble. New (to me) 111

That guy I got that 214 from last week had a 111 that I went back for. Got it for $75. Hood, deck and a couple parts are in the back of the car.

He also told me that he wants to get rid of his 160 for $250. Said when he flips PTO switch it dies.

I think the 160 would look good on your trailer too. And, it should be a relatively easy fix.

A little history on the 111. It was part of the line that replaced the 100, and also included the 108, 112L and 116. This line came out in 1979 with the 108 and 111, and then later the 116 was added in 1982 and then the 112L in 1985. In 1986 this line was replaced by the 130, 160, 165, 170, 175, 180 and 185 lawn tractors. In 1980, the mechanical pto was replaced by an electrical pto clutch. In 1982, the fuel tanks was relocated from under the hood to the fender deck. The 111 had a 11 hp Briggs on it, and had a 38 inch two bladed deck. Attachments included the 42 front blade, the 38 inch snow blower and carts, dethatcher, etc.

BTW, I moved this to the proper forum, the regular L&G section. Only the tractors listed in the description of the Vintage L&G section are to be discussed there. All others falls into the regular L&G forum.

Would this be the correct manual to help me fix it?

That 111 is a 1983 model based on the serial number.

That manual was printed in 1979 and won't cover your serial number range. It won't have the information for the electric pto clutch, nor the hydrostatic transmission as the hydrostatic transmission only became an option in 1982.

Here is the wiring schematic you will need:
