    Mystery Bracket.

I did some service work on my 2720 today.
Changed engine oil and filter, Transmission filter, new screen and fluid change and cleaned out the fuel separator and a new fuel filter and lastly a new outer air filter.

I gotta say the fuel filter is not the easiest to change, also filling the transmission is a bad setup.

While underneath the tractor I found a Green Bracket on top of the left side of the rear axle.
It was just laying there caught on all the hardware.

Anyone have any idea what its for?

    Thanks.

No idea. It looks a bit like the cover on my 3pt snowblower that hides the hardware for adjusting it's chain.

Could it be a shipping bracket that is used to attach the bucket to the side of the tractor during shipment from the factory, for example?

I dont know what its from but, it appears as someone previously cut the one end so that it would slide out after a bolt or nut was loosened.

It certainly isn't part of the tractor itself as everything on the tractor is painted black except for the hood, fenders and foot rest platform.

Are you the original owner? How long have you had the tractor? Is this the first time you services it?

One hole was not cut out, you can see the laser cut edge all around the part when originally made.

Am not the original owner, Bought it last summer, have put about 50 hrs on it and this is the first time I've serviced it.

I would just chalk it up to something left over from the previous owner. It could be part of an implement that they used. Whatever it was, it is not part of the basic tractor.
