2025R Hydraulic filter and screen at 50 hours

So it looks like at 50 hours I need to change the hydraulic filter and clean the screen. In this process do you lose all the fluid? It appears I don't need to change the fluid. Do people just catch it and reuse it? Thanks.

I’m about to go through the same thing. Hope to read my manual tonight. But I plan on changing the fluid since it’s first service.

You will loose 90% of the fluid. Just change it out.

With our "old" 2-series tractor they call for changing the fluid and filter at 50 hours. I don't see any real reason why anything has changed except the manual.

I have used new fluid, guess you could recycle being very careful not to add exterior contaminates.... but for me and peace of mind went new.

IMHO use new fluid! It's not a drain and save service! I'd change the front axle fluid also, and make sure you drain the final drive too, if you can still do that!

My 2018 2025R manual says 200 hours. This was one of the selling points/enhancements of the Gen 2 series.

jsb2b, not a good idea to wait until 200 hours. I would say the manual is wrong! The engine oil change should always be a yearly thing too!

I did a 50 hydraulic service on my '18 2025R and from what I found on the suction screen I would highly recommend doing it.

Yes, the normal service interval is 200 hours but I'm pretty sure it says to change the filter and clean the screen at 50 hours. The point of my original post is it possible to do it without changing the fluid also. It sound like the only way is to catch the fluid and put it back in. I'll probably just put in new fluid.
