    Unknown coolant leak on 2520

Moved the 2520 today and noticed a small spot of coolant on the shed floor. Seems to be coming directly down over the steering cylinder. I can see that there are several bolt heads on the engine block above that steering cylinder that are wet but I can't see anything above there that shows wetness or a leak point. The mount plate under the radiator is totally dry. The upper & lower radiator hoses are dry. The water pump housing is dry. Nothing even immediately above these four bolts is wet. Seems pretty unlikely that coolant would be coming out of the bolts, especially more than one of them. Any tips on likely coolant leaks from this area of the engine??

Here's the puddle on the floor:

And the bolt heads and steering cylinder that are wet. Note that the bolts on the left of the image are wet with oil. It is the bolts on the right of the image that may have coolant on them. Right is towards the front of the tractor in the pic.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Trying to orient myself - is the second pic on the right or left side of the engine?

I have to go out to the barn and put another coat on my deck - will take a look around the area on mine to see if something jumps out.

I was just under mine Thursday, and the only problem (knock on wood) I have, is my leaking steering cylinder!

The steering cylinder is a bit wet too. Not sure if oil or coolant. There was definitely coolant that dripped onto it and down to the floor but it may also have had oil first.

The 2nd picture is from under the tractor from the right side with the right side of the pic being closer to the front of the tractor. The left side of the tractor is 'down' in this pic.

    Got it.

First thing that comes to mind is the coolant expansion tank is above that general area. Will take a look to see if it is directly above when I look at mine.

Fluid like this can travel in very mysterious ways.....

The overflow tank is somewhat above it but on the right side of the engine. No sign of any wetness on any part of the tank.

    Thanks,

I guess I am confused. You said the pic was of the right side. My coolant bottle is on the right side. But my power steering cylinder is on the left.

Anyway - on the left side I donít see anything jumping out at me.

The pic was taken with my lying under the right side of the tractor so it is 'from the right' but pointing to the center of the tractor. The leak dripped almost dead center of the tractor. The steering cyl runs from the center to the left of the tractor and the leak was dripping off the rightmost end of the cylinder. You can see the front driveshaft running along the bottom of the pic. Sorry if this is unclear.
