    3032E pto?

My knowledge of newer tractors is limited. My neighbors 3032E pto won't engage. I think one should check for blown fuses, seat switch & pto switch. Does 3032E have a pto speed sensor? Is there anything else to check?
    Thanks,Jim

I don't believe it has a PTO speed sensor. As you said, fuses (and relays!), seat switch and PTO switch would be the prime culprits. The PTO is electrically activated but they don't say which fuse it is tied to in the Operator's Manual.

I couldn't locate a pto sensor in parts catalog BUT do you know how pto speed on speed-hour meter is determined?
    Thanks for reply,Jim

Don't forget the solenoid valve. The PTO is hydraulic. It's under the seat near the bottom on the right side. If you get 12v at the connector when the PTO switch is on, then that is the issue.

Thanks I will inform my neighbors to check the pto solenoid. I checked the fuses that I could locate & they were good.
    Thanks again,Jim

Mine wouldn't engage after pulling up the switch several times. So I called the dealership to get suggestions and they told me it might be the switch. So I had power all the way to the switch and when I was pulling the switch up to check it , I wasn't getting anything . So I took it all apart to get to the switch and used a piece of fine grit sandpaper, sanded the part that the wires slide onto . And haven't had a problem with it not engaging since then .

I have a 3025E and the PTO switch is finnicky. If I have not used it for a long time, it will take a long time to energize and actually work. So far cycling the switch several times has brought it back to life but I am sure I am on borrowed time. This is the one thing I have found so far after two years of ownership on the 3E series that is a bit of a piece of junk. I am not sure if because the switch is on the fender it is exposed to corrosion or if it is just a cheap switch that is prone to failure.
