I have looked at other people step install posting here on the forum. The biggest question was mmm clearance with the step. So, when I did mine today I put the 54" mmm on.

I cut 3/4" off of the step top right at there it bends so it will be parallel to the ground.

I used 1.5" 3/16 angle iron a foot long. I bolted this flush with the hydrualic filter bracket on the right and lower enough that there was @ 1/8" clearance from the bottom of the plastic floor lip.

I welded the step to the angle iron so it was just to the left of the hydrualic lines.

With the step on i have a little over 2.5" between the step and 54" deck when raised all the way up.
