Did you check JD Parts? I don't know if it's the same as a 1-series but here is the P/N they show for a Gen-2 2025R.

I've said this before and it's worth mentioning. I'm not a fan of the filter "kits". In most cases you don't know what you are getting. Case in point, look at the diagram above provided by JD. They show what looks to be the outer air filter element but they call it a hydraulic filter. So where is the outer air filter element? The kits aren't always a savings. Sometimes they cost more than the individual parts in the kit.

My advice is to shop carefully. Make a list of all the filters you need, check the price. Then check the kit and see what all it includes.

In the case of this 2025R "kit", you are clearly missing an air filter.

I believe #3 is the air filter, and you only get the outer. I did the kit about a year ago and I believe it was LVA21036. 2 fuel fltrs, hydro fltr, engine oil fltr & outer air fltr.

BUT the air filter in LVA21036 is not the filter for the air cleaner that's mounted on the radiator support. It fits the canister that is bungee cord held to the bracket mounted to the valve cover.

To answer the original question, YES, the kits are the same for both tractors. But I believe the air filters are different (someone can correct this if I'm wrong) with the new style air cleaner, so that is worth looking to make sure which air cleaner is in the kit.

Yes the filter is different, if it's the new style mounted on the radiator support. That takes LVU34503 (outer filter). A couple weeks ago I looked for a kit that had LVU34503 in it, but could not locate one. I posted that in one of those 1025 air cleaner threads.

If the air cleaner is mounted on the prone to failure valve cover bracket, LVA21036 kit has the air filter (M131802) that will fit.

The Gen2 2025R does not have fuel filter #5. That's for the 1025R. The John Deere parts catalog is full of errors.....

The other issue I run into with them is that I donít always need all of those filters at the same time.... yeah I need an oil filter every year-but not so on they hydro or fuel filters and only maybe on the air filters. Iím likely to use 2-3 oil filters before I need a second hydraulic one

That is exactly the situation I am in. Same with the garden tractor. So I just purchase parts separately. I buy several engine filters and a couple fuel filters (in case of winter gelling), and one hydraulic and air filter set. I also have new spark plugs on hand for the X500. That way I can install whatever maintenance component I need whenever it is needed. On the gas lawn tractor I change oil/filter every 25 hrs which amounts to twice per year. Then I do the plugs, air filter and fuel filter every 100 hrs. which is every 2 years. It works out well.

Last year I did some analysis and found out the Home Maintenance Kit for the X500 cost more than the parts it includes, so no more maintenance "kits" for me. The only way those kits become viable is during JD's 15% off sale and then there is like a $2.00 savings. :-)
