2032r/2038r discontinued?

There's rumors going around the FB group that these machines are being discontinued due to the popularity of the 2025R for people looking at 2 series, and if need bigger, skipping the large frame 2s in favor of 3 series.

It feels like fake news, but I suppose it's possible.

Anyone have any information on this?

Sounds like a nothing burger, unless they are getting updated to the new 7r 8r styling already, but I somehow doubt it. JD Sales and marketing departments would REALLY be in trouble if they built such a crappy business case and go to market strategy for the 2r series, that the plug is pulled so quickly. Lots of R&D dollars went into these machines and I doubt they’ve recovered their investment yet.

Not likely. This model (2032R/2038R) is only recently redesigned, and is much more 'ergonomic' than the 3R. The 2025R is much less tractor than a 2032R. Not even in the same ballpark.

If I needed another tractor it would be the 2032R. The 2025r is a slightly larger frame with the same power plant as the 1025R.

I'd be highly surprised to hear it was true. Just from the posts I've seen on here, I'd expect that the revised 2025R has probably taken more sales from the 1-series than it has from the 2032R/2038R.

That's what I figured, they're new machines and to pull the plug so early seemed unlikely..., but business is business.

Unless JD is planning a huge reveal of a newly redesigned 3 series. I asked my dealer, they haven’t heard this, though he said they will know for sure when they go to Orlando in a couple of months for the annual sales conference.

When shopping for a new tractor this year, I was curious why there were smaller and larger 2-series tractors. The smaller 2025R looked almost like a 1025R to me with a very slightly larger frame, wheels, and taller 3pt. The difference was so slight, that I wondered to myself why anybody would bother with a 2025R if the wanted a "bigger" tractor than the 1025R - the 2038R seemed more like the next logical step up in the model line for somebody that still wanted a smaller tractor but something bigger than a SCUT.

I guess, in summary, I would think JD would drop the 2025R before they dropped the 2032R/2038R.

Stuff changes. Times change. Purchasing habits change. It's all about what sells and how fast.

This rumor Probably got started because Deere was Updating the Build and Price on there website & the 2032R & 2038R were Not showing Up for day or two. There actually on the Build & Price section of the Deere website again

The 2025R has actually been selling very well for Deere so Don't think That will happen either anytime soon

Well it's simple! The reason I upgraded from a 1025R to a 2025R was I wanted a True Small Frame compact. I didn't want a Medium Frame compact Pretending to a Be a Small frame Compact (2032R & 2038R) I could Have easily Bought either of the Bigger 2R series But Bigger is not always Better. If I was going to want Medium Compact Utility I would spend My Money On a 3R series (1 Inch Taller ROPS Height) 1 inch Longer from 3 Point Hitch to front) and Have More Hydraulic capacity for the same size Machine
