YES and in most states if not all L.E.O. will fine you and red tag the vehicle until the snow and/or ice is cleaned off no matter if it is commercial or pov.

One place I worked, because I had a class license one of my jobs was backup driver when needed One day I was cleaning about 4" off a 26ft straight box and told the plant manager I wanted to put the truck in the building at the end of workday I explained the situation of weather report of snow and sleet but he said no. Told him then I wasn't making the delivery. Person who made delivery was stopped, fined $150 and had to wait along side of highway because he had no way to clean roof.

Right, he should have brushed the snow off the grill so it doesn't overheat.

That is incorrect. There is only a small handful of states that have these laws (Alaska, Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Wisconsin).

The rest of the states probably want to see tailgaters killed off by falling sheets of ice.

My apologies. I guess I should have checked my facts before posting as it has been many years since I've been a professional driver. But I still can't understand any driver being so inconsiderate as to put others in danger on the road

No one in the west ever clears snow off trucks. Not really off cars or pickups either. Don't follow so close. And my Vette will be fine as it won't push snow. The front is only 3" off the ground. So it won't make it out of the driveway.

jeepers i thought it was a law nationwide. i haven't had to worry about that since 2004, when i went back to running dozer on a strip job.

some of the fellas who used to call me-said our old company(trucking) put in a thing where u drove underneath it to knock the snow off the trailers as u went thru it. we pulled doubles(28ft) the last pup was always lighter than ur lead trailer, so it got knocked loose first. whether i was in Jersey or New York-the pot holes always knocked it loose fast it seemed. if i had known ole Giz lived so close to I-84 back then, i could of called him every day as i came thru Port Jervis.

i always worried about blowing tires out when people would just ride beside me for like miles. one day a couple of old ladies was doing that down south-i would slow down, they would slow down-nothing other than me getting off the road was gonna make them move-and it was a pretty convertible too---till i blew a outside trailer tire---dust was everywhere--they passed me then--i was just happy no one got hurt. jeepers people sometimes don't think straight i think.

RTGT-first time in ohio-on I-75--i found out also what happens when u run in slush up north in the morning, go load and find out ur over weight then. that scale master left me off the hook that day for some reason. i seen a wrecker their moving a coil on another truck too. guess i was the lucky one-huh.

I was about 45 minutes last night, but I also plowed down to the chicken house and around it, something that I haven't had to do until this year.
Probably less spillage out of the sides with the wings on the pusher?
