    New JD650 Owner in Maine

I am a new owner of an old JD 650. I am really a first time tractor user. I love the loader on this tractor and it has saved my many hours of manual labor over the summer. (I bought this in the spring). As a novice I have many questions and found and joined this forum to learn from the experience of the many users and experts in this forum.

    Thank you

Lost our JD650 in 2008, a sad day. Bought the 650, new in 1988.

    Gizmo,

How'd you compare that old #7 BH you had on your 650 to the 46 you now have for the 2320? I had a #8 on my 950 and a #10 on my 1070 and those backhoes could really dig! I'm surprised I never tore either of mine apart because I used them like my old construction machines, a Dynahoe 140 and a Case 580B. That being said I'm happy with the 485 on my 3320.

IMO, They are both Backhoes, it stops right there. Hands down, the #7 is by far the better of the two. I've said on here many times that I wish the #7 fit the 2320 and I had it back. I think the 46 is two small for the 2320 and the controls are junk.
