    New to the forum

    Hello all,

I wanted to introduce myself, and say thank you for your responses in this forum, I found it so valuable.
I'm a Sugar Cane Grower in Central America and own a JD 4045DF150 engine as part of an irrigation system in Central America. A couple of days ago I had an issue with the engine not starting.
With a mechanic found that some sensor is faulty but he couldn't say what the sensor does to the system. And I was worry that the engine could overheat and get ruined.

Thankfully to your posts in this forum I now understand what the Cold Start Sensor is and found that I don't need it (besides that is not available in my country), as we have ambient temps around 20 ~ 40 °C all year long. (Besides that is not available in my country).

So now i can restart all the irrigation job that is pending and try to catch up with time.

Thanks for letting me find solutions to my issues with the JD unit.

Here is a picture of the system
