    Hello from Kentucky!

    Hello From Kentucky GTT members:

A short intro and Big Thanks follows. I thought since I had done my share of gleaning the great information I better start doing my share since I bought my first John Deere. A 5075E to do some farming and road/creek crossing maintenance as well as logging for a small portable sawmill (I was a sawyer in my early years). My roots are in farming with my father and family doing tobacco, hay and cattle. Retired from USACE and did a trip to Iraq and Afghanistan doing QA work. Interesting to say the least. We have mostly run Ford New Holland and have several. Good tractors but I always wanted a Green one. Really enjoy the projects posted and it's obvious the talent here is amazing. Hope I can help in the future and pay some pentence so to speak (sorry for the spelling). My 5075E is serving me well so far and my dealer is Great. Thanks Again for all your help in the past and future. I'll try to post a pic.

Welcome to the forum neighbor. We're in the Owensboro area.

Very nice looking tractor. Interesting to see what you get into with it.

Thanks, I got the 485 John Deere model. I'm used to an old Case 3 stick and the 485 is not a full size backhoe but I'm optimistic.
