Rotary Plowing The Garden With The Gravely

I have mentioned rotary plowing before,, and several people asked for a video,,
yesterday I plowed the garden, so, I videoed some of the action.

The tractor is a 1992 Gravely, with an eight horsepower Kohler engine.
The engine is running about 2,000 RPM's, so it might be making 5 HP,,,,

Here are a couple pics of the machine,,,

Some of the tractors include JD 4105, JD 855, JD 650,,,, and,,, the IH 584 4WD
My favorite attachment is the homemade landplane,,, EVERYONE needs one of those!!

A Gravely and rotary plow is an awesome machine. If anyone is looking for a rotary plow, I have one that's available as my Gravely croaked and I just don't have time to rebuild it. I wish I did have time as there is nothing else that can do quite the same things. . .

Hard to beat a Gravely and a rotary plow. Back in college I had an old Gravely L with a rotary plow and gear reduction wheels. Slow, but unstoppable!! Plowed a lot of gardens to help pay for expenses back then.

Love the sound that the old "L" engines made, but I sure like the reliability of the Kohler's on my current Gravely's.

    GREAT video!!
