Auction pics, 1966 Harley Davidson or Kioti DK50C?

I doubt I will bid on ether one but I bet they go cheap. Saturday august 2 there is a local auction in Adamstown MD where things have been going crazy cheap lately and I thought about buying one of these to flip for a quick buck. On Auctionzip there is a loaded 1966 Electraglide which looks like a time capsule and also a Kioti DK50C with cab and FEL. There is also a King Cutter? box blade, and some fork extensions which I think will sell seperately.

I was interested in the Kioti, expecting it to go cheap but someone here implied they are hard to get parts for. The 2-3 I found online seemed to go for about $20K. I am not up to date on the hog. If anyone wants to come outbid me that may be best for me. I expect someone will get a bargain. They got a 48 Merc coupe hotrod too, ugly colors though.

You can still get Shovel head parts, and wrench on the thing with a hammer and pliers if needed.
Worst scenario, you fry a knee and instep kicking the thing over, and sell it for a gain.

The Kioti on the other hand, is another name for Belarus. Cheap horsepower, that will rot in a windrow while waiting for parts.
If it's free, they are asking too much.

Belarus. I'm out then. The Harley I am more familiar with. I meant to write picks not pics. I need it like a hole in the head but stuff been selling for nothing, figured maybe I should get a bargain. Thanks, Henry

    That's why I clicked. I'm a sucker for pre-AMF Harleys.

Classic for sure! Generator shovelhead. It's all there. Heavy bike, drum brakes, 74" displacement, solid mounted engine. A tractor on two wheels by today's standards. Better be mechanically inclined to own one. A riding buddy has practically the same bike but his is an all original '69. You'll spend as much time wrenching as riding on one of these. Especially prone to leaking and burning more oil than necessary, charging problems, poor handling with little to no suspension and taking a long time to stop. Fun ride though!!!

I had me an old AMF Shovelhead for a while. Frank is right, you wrench on them about as much as you ride. You either have to be a mechanic or have enough money to pay one. I loved it though....

Those sure are pretty though. The lines are classy!

    Jason,

Your's looks to be ~ '73 or so?? Classic look with nice colors! Just the alternator and disc brakes were a huge improvement. I bought a brand new '73 FX "SuperGlide" in the winter of '72 and put ~ 130,000 miles on it. In '83 bought a new FXRT SportGlide and put almost 250,000 miles on that one. Both Shovelheads as well. Rebuilt the '73 once and the '83 twice with lots on minor repairs and maintenance along the way. Today, I've got three Twincams in the garage.
