Building a Horse Fence Wire covered Sun Room for them attached to my shop room. I can make a small opening in the wall for them to go into the Sun Room I can close off if needed. It will have a door on the outside I can go thru to get inside and I left gaps for rain water but will drill more holes in the wood on the ground. I put places the cats can lay around on and will add more. There could be 15-18 cats in there counting the kittens till they grow up at night. I am sure 1/2 will be taken during the day over time when they go hunting outside the yard. The ones who stick closer to home are still around!! I need to paint it and my shop still and cover it with the 2" x 4" twisted field fence wire then open the way into it. The cats were testing it out while I was building it. Probley just paint the room now while the wood is clean and the shop later this year. These 7 kittens will be a bundle soon as they grow up!Attachment 686108Attachment 686110Here is there play area for a while and works for another litter box too!Attachment 686112Attachment 686114Attachment 686116 This is $150.00 worth of wood, glad I have the woven wire already to take some off of the rolls to do the screens with. Nothing fancy but it will work. PS This project kicked my butt today putting it up by myself. 8 years ago I could have framed the whole garage in a day and partied that night? OH I still need to find the right big tree to put the trunk/limbs inside to climb on plus scratch!
Pretty soon you will have more cats then me I'm at 23 right now most are outside during the day and in at night some just stay outside all the time I like the idea of the play area you are making them and the added room I have been thinking of adding something like that on the shed for them

Neat story I have a couple that also do that. The new Mom Cat waits for me just outside the fence under the pickup waiting to head to the shop. Each one has a personality of its own.

good morning-just spent an hr going thru 3 pages getting caught back up now.
got back home at 10:15 pm--almost 1,400 miles total. gained some mileage around Indy-due to listening to the wife's stupid garmin-oh how i would love to smash that thingi should of just went the way i wanted to -but i had stopped at a waffle house for a break-and plugged it in and set the address in it-not thinking it would go a different route than in my mind-it was 710 miles out-map quest said 695 my way--and running the toll roads back it was only 640 one way-but the thumping tolls now-jeez-everything has gone up in cost since 20 yrs of paying for them my self. back in the early 90's-back then i didn't mind them tolls as they wasn't that bad---could go the the whole length of pike and never have to touch the brakes till getting off the exit, that's what i liked back then, but of course i had a jake brake too.

had a wonderful lunch with the Herminator great tasting burger and big-i-yi-yihe picked a great place to eat. thanks Herm.

got me a room for the night right around the corner-lousy hotels-tells u one thing on the web site(price) and u walk in to get it, to only find it is $30 higher. i said to the nice lady what's up with that-price--oh she say's well for that price ur talking about -u need to do a week earlier--i said u don't say then. i thought the pirates was only in the 3 rd world countries working it was A-OK for me as i was wiped out by then.

got up then the next morning feeling really kind of sick in the gut. made it to visit with Zebra5--as his place was less than 20 miles right off the Indiana toll road, so he gave me directions to his house. i was only there maybe an hr or so---just wasn't feeling the best then. was gonna go get me a room by his place-but i stopped at a Menard's store near by--and after visiting the great throne their felt way better an hr later

now since i know how far it is-might take the wife along and Charley boy this time, get us a room near by and be able to spend better time with him and his wife and his kitty cat's and his dog i think in 10 hrs with the wife and dog i could be back in his area easily, we will see-as Brenda Lee really wants to go to giz's house to visit him and Mel.

no pics tonight-have to wait till tomorrow

it was 28 * warmer at Zebra5'S PLACE -the farther east i got the colder it goter it got--last rest area on Ohio pike i had to get my sweat shirt out just to pump my gas. lousy weather here. garage painters even gave up on big garage-as they came and took their truck somewhere else for now.

later i sure enjoyed my trip --now if i could of trucked every day that easy--i could of became a millionaire for sure cruise control, AM/FM radio, electric wind up windows, big, big sleeper, etc, etc,. oh and to be able to run 70 mph legally

    Good Morning Folks!

40* with nothing falling from the skies for the first time in three days. I'd like to bale the lawn today if it dries.

I have some running around to take care of this morning and several small outdoor jobs that need attention. I can't say that I've had much motivation with all the lousy weather, but I have caught some real nice naps.

I've got a couple robins that have been hanging around the yard since the snow melted. They almost seem tame as they aren't too concerned with people being nearby. Two days ago, I noticed them building a nest over the motion light on the garage. I'll probably regret it when I have to clean their mess, but I'm going to let them stay for the summer. I've been keeping tabs on the construction with a nearby camera and it's been interesting. I did trim the extra long grasses that were hanging from the nest so they won't keep tripping the light, but I don't think they minded. I guess it doesn't take much to keep me entertained.

    Have a great day!
