His name has already been thrown around the city safety directors office for deputy chief. Quite an achievement for such a young man. He is only 41 years old. We will be attending the ceremony in the morning, then out to celebrate in the afternoon and evening.
    Your son did well.

Just woke from a brief after lunch nap. Read some weather around the country and then started to think after not seeing OC post anything here that maybe he is out shopping for umbrella's or life jackets and paddles ?? I've got some spare race boat auto-inflatable live vests and giant umbrella's I could Fedex him.. Hopefully the elevation he lives at won't let the 4066 get wet ?

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

    * portions of southeast Louisiana and Mississippi, including the
following areas, in southeast Louisiana, Ascension,
Assumption, East Baton Rouge, Iberville, Livingston, Lower
Jefferson, Lower Lafourche, Lower Plaquemines, Lower St.
Bernard, Lower Terrebonne, Orleans, Southern Tangipahoa, St.
Charles, St. James, St. John The Baptist, St. Tammany, Upper
Jefferson, Upper Lafourche, Upper Plaquemines, Upper St.
Bernard, Upper Terrebonne, and West Baton Rouge. In
    Mississippi, Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson.

    * through Sunday morning

    * Total rainfall accumulations of 10 to 15 inches
    through the
weekend with isolated maximum rainfall amounts of 20 inches.

    * Impacts include rapid rises on area small streams and creeks
resulting in flooding on some rivers. Rapid ponding of water
that may overwhelm local drainage capacities due to excessive
rain rates. Areas that don`t normally experience flash flooding,
    could.
