If you run into one of those special "swarm control" situations where humane non-lethal force is desireable, you can load with pepper shot. It's sort of a 12ga. "bean bag" round for flies. If dispersal is not forthcoming, make 'em worth their salt!

I recollect going to visit my cousin at his apartment when I was in my early 20's. He was big into dart blow guns. He could hit a fly across the room....and his walls/ furniture showed it. No squirrels were safe outside his porch perimeter. He later became a leading archer and won the state championship indoor and 3D competitions numerous times. He taught me how to shoot and would get me great deals though his sponsor ..of which changed often...Hoyt, Browning, PSE, Mathews, etc. His name is David Rhea.

The A-Salt gun looks like fun!!

One problem. The first were pretty well made and folks loved them.
Orders got too huge, and the guy had to switch manufacturers to keep up.

Now they are coming in from a more Chinese-ey chinese manufacturer, and they aren't working real well after a little use.

The "other" forum I belong too has a bit of a firearm habit...and they love all of them. The Bug gun was a huge hit at first, guys were posting photos of thier trophy kills. Now they are madder than hell over the drop in quality.

If you order one, buyer beware.;)

An ex-coworker used to live in northern New Mexico, and it's common for the Front Range (east side of the Rockies along I-25) to get inundated with Miller Moths every summer. He told me that he and a college buddy would sit on the front porch with spray bottles filled with lighter fluid and a cigarette lighter and flame-thrower the little buggers in mid air.
