    Reverse Number Lookup help

Ok, for the last 18 months we have been called no less than 10+ times by this number (207) 430-3278. It is the same person calling each time looking for "Anita ......". I have told him till I'm blue in the face that she doesn't live her and I have never heard of her etc. My new number comes from the Cable Company in a bundled package. I have filed as many complaints with the "Federal Do Not call complaint system" that I care to remember. Any suggestions? When I call them back the line eventually goes dead.

Probably a bill collector that Anita owes. If the number showed on Caller ID, I'd just ignore it. Nothing much else you can do about it, except maybe hook up a Fax to that line and let it go off in their ear every time they call.

Since I don't use a land line for anything other than a Fax, I have no idea if one can contact the phone company, or in your case, the cable company and have a block put on that number coming through. Knowing utility companies, there would be a fee for that.

You can file Do Not Call complaints with the FCC until you're blue in the face but I'll tell you right now that it isn't going to get you anywhere.

You best bet, assuming this is the only number your getting calls from, is to log in to you account with your cable company and add the number to your call screening list.

I did what is called a LIDB dip on the number and it is not a registered number so like FG stated, it is likely a bill collector and they are spoofing their number.

Post an ad in Craigslist in the personal ads with the number. Something really freaky.

Won't stop them from calling, but at least they'll know how annoying it is to get calls you don't want.

I have my landline office phone number forwarded to my cell. Its all done somewhere in the system as there isnt an actual landline telephone. To do this is minimal cost and it lets me keep my business number, no matter where I may live. (We moved to our new home back in 2010 and had to do this)
But,I get sales calls umpteen times a day. To the point, if the area code is something I dont recognize...there is a good chance I'll not answer it. Bad business...I know. But I'll let curiosity get the better of me sometimes and answer anyways. I've had "our records show, you have not updated your google listing",from so many different area codes...its not even funny. And some are Texas area codes too. It ticks me the heck off to be right in the middle of brazing a joint, climbing up a ladder, talking to a real customer, etc,to be distracted by these ne'er'do 'wells. And then there's the buying ads for the local country club score cards, pharmacy bags, shriners childrens circus,etc,etc...arrghh
