    All Over My Garage Eves!

I have seen this three times this season. The temps have gone up and when they do these little mite-like dudes show up.
What the heck are they and what do I do to effectively get rid of them? ThThe odd thing is they only show up in the garage! Btw..we don't keep livestock or food out there

Do you have any Hackberry trees nearby?

When I lived in the 'burbs, we had a clump of Hackberrys outside one end of the house. The leaves got these little bumps on them - about the size of a peppercorn - that were apparently eggs full of little bugs that looked like that. The weather would get warm and we'd get them all over that end of the house.

Or, maybe the bumps on the leaves were caused by the bugs...

Could it be artillery fungus? This stuff is really difficult to remove. I always associated it with mulch below the area, which does not seem logical in the garage eaves.

"Snow Fleas" perhaps https://hortnews.extension.iastate.e...snowfleas.html Yours look similar to the ones around here.

Some years ago large "daddy longlegs" held a cluster (engagement) all over the outside walls of my detached garage/shop. Never saw so many of 'em in one place in my life, must have been 10K or more in 1' to 2' wide groups. They have not returned for another gang convention even though I see lots of individuals all warm seasons...

it's usually easier to identify insects if you count the number of legs, have you tried that yet

That's good to know! Now I don't have to pay for all those DNA tests!

Looks like Snow Fleas. 2 warm days here and the stinkbugs were out in full force in the shop. Shop vac works good for that though.

They're gone now....I took a ball duster and scooted them off.....Probably going to have to brush the tin down.
