Pear tree blooming in late September

We've had some cool nights lately with lows in the 50's and daytime highs back into the mid 80's. No rain in almost a month at my place but I have a pear tree blooming in late September. With a frost probably before the end of October, this is the latest I've ever seen a fruit tree bloom in Alabama.

I'll include a couple of pictures of the bloom and one of my bee hives in the early morning fog.

Pretty photos, but if that is a bearing variety, it might be setting the stage for its own demise.
If man had enough horse sense to treat his wife like a Thoroughbred, she'd never grow into an old nag.

Yes, it is a Bosch Pear and very good. But I'm sure you're right.
