Two Wheel Land Speed Record......Not Quite.....

This didn't end as planned but she walked away from the crash after hitting 343 mph with only bumps and bruises.

Much like our own OC and Oxpath walking away from their unplanned dismounts off their stationary tractors!!

I hit 140 on a Honda CBR 900. I've hit 110 plus on a snowmobile many times. I was young and dumb. <300 today makes me cringe so I guess I either gained some wisdom or lost my nerve. I'm ok with either.

I think you'll be ok if you always wear a baggy shirt and plow into the wind.

I WATCHED A movie some time ago about a older fella who shipped his own motorcycle over here to race it on the sand flats. it was a older Indian motorcycle IIRC.

at the end of the movie it said how long he had held that record for and how fast. i forget how fast he got to on that day.

i doubt he got to 376 MPH--anyone ever watch that movie?

I watched it a couple times it was good. That guy took a small motor cycle engine and bike to a record that held for one heck of a long time! I think he built it in England and the town got together to fund him to come to the Sand Flats. They almost did not let him run it! His tires were not the best for those speeds but held together!

Looks like she caught some air under it at 343 mph.
Wonder if it was a design problem or gust of wind?

One lucky lady to walk away from it.

Just replayed it in slo-mo, looks like it laid on its' side right before it lifted, with the shape of it, had to lift on
    its' side.
