Yeah, I hate DST. I don't care what we do, as long as I don't have to reset my clocks and adjust my wake up time. I wish we just would have one time year round, whether it's DST or Non-DST.

I agree 100%. This whole changing the clocks twice a year serves zero purpose.

I can make the switch TO DST much easier than OFF of it. And I really do hate things being dark at the time I get home in the evenings. Shorter days are depressing enough, but to come home in the dark, just stinks!

No DST here boys and girls!!! I guess that's why I'm constantly caught off my toes!!!! Someone, back in the day, likely a socialist, decided that we wouldn't use it.

It's confusing as hell when trying to figure out Zulu time..... DST is confusing enough, but then add in "well is Alberta now an hour ahead, or behind, or the same......."

A year or two ago there was a bill in the Tennessee legislature to take the state off of DST. Apparently, any state that covers multiple time zones can choose not to participate. For some reason, they decided we need to stick with the goofy time change thing.

Since my microwave, PC, bedside clock, satellite box and both wrist watches (try that with a Rolex!), will all change via the atomic clock in Ft. Collins, all I have to do is stop "Grandfather" for an hour and he's good to go... (Wifey will be setting and cursing her watches this morning! I think I'll give her a break and get her an automatic one for Christmas...)

I don't mind the shorter days so much now that I'm fully into geezerhood, I just come in earlier and sit by the stove with a cat and read. Activity is one way to beat the "winter blahs" but it has to be something that gets the heart rate up for half hour or so... Excercise cures/helps a lot of human ailments...

HEY! Don't forget to change out those SMOKE DETECTOR BATTERIES! (This has been a public service message.)
