    RIP Bruno Sammartino

    Just heard this a few minutes ago, 82 yrs of age. He loved Pittsburgh ,Pa his home town.

    I was 10 years old, and living in Pittsburgh in 1960,,,
    Bruno ruled wrestling, he was on TV EVERY Saturday night,,
    The wrestling was local in Pittsburgh,, I just thought EVERY city had the sport,,

    I watched him more regularly than any other TV show,,

    Yep! If you knew Pittsburgh, you knew all about him.
    Studio Wrestling hosted by Bill Cardille! Watched it every Saturday with my grandmother. She was just as bad as "Ringside Rosie".

    My grandmother's Saturday nights were always Lawrence Welk, followed by a nap and then wrestling.

    Yep sounds like our place when you can only get 3 sometimes 2 TV stations .

    OH to go to the Civic Arena and watch Burno and others..

    As a great Uncle told my dad the first time he was in Arena to watch a wrestling event . We were up on a upper level walking around to our seats, Uncle stops spins , from a chew of tobacco and said " You could really put a HeL_ of a lot a hay in this Da__ _ place. " Thinking he was in his mid 80's at the time.
    Everyone standing or walking around us had a good laugh.
