    Vietnam Vet Radio

A somewhat circumspect trip on the Internet led me to this:

    VietnamVetRadio.com

It might be interesting to some of you old guys (like me), especially if you made the trip to the Nam.

I can't seem to make the web address a link, but you can copy and paste.

Dad was USAF ('54 - '74) and I was born in '62 while he was stationed in Texas. From '68 - '72 we were stationed in Germany. Somewhere I probably still have my old Sony transistor radio that I used to listen to Armed Forces Radio when we lived there! One American radio station, one American TV station. Ah, those were the days!!

Germany wasn't much different when I got there in the 90s. We had 1 radio station and 3 TV stations. I am trying to remember what was on them. Of the 3, 2 were actually the same. But offset something like 8 hrs. I actually think one was in sync with Pacific Theater and the other with Europe. They did this because they ran different programming during the day verses evening and this way if you preferred the daytime programming you could still watch it. Or for those that worked night shifts. Didn't matter for me much as I was Infantry so we would just be gone for a few weeks/months at a time. No DVRs back then just VCR. I want to say the 3rd station was sports or something.
