    That was great. I hope she didn't break any FAA regs, but it seems she covered everything required. For one thing, everyone was listening, in my experience, most passengers usually ignore the preflight safety speech.

    Maybe it's a Southwest thing. Had a SW flight not that long ago and the flight attendant had a good spiel. He was entertaining (flambouyant) but entertaining.

    I've always heard Southwest encouraged their flight attendants to be creative with that kind of stuff.

    SWA folks enjoy their work, and it shows. Their fares are cheaper than others, and their employees are some of the best paid. They are the ONLY carrier I will fly, if I can't fly myself.

    During the pre-flight instructions of one SW flight I was on, as the woman flight attendant unfolded the placard there was a piece of paper taped inside it and in BIG letters it said "I NEED A DATE!"

    On another flight the attendant was tossing bags of peanuts like we were at a ball park. The try to make it fun.
