    Piehole Whiskey

Helped a neighbor's kid out with a car problem recently. He and Dad pulled it apart to replace the timing belt, water pump and tensioner and got in over their heads. They dropped by tonight with a thank you gift of a bottle of Piehole "Apple Pie" flavored whiskey. Now I'm a black coffee, Scotch whiskey guy and never got into flavored drinks but this stuff is pretty good! Might have a little more while watching the game tonight.

Their website is pretty cool too. Especially if you like old school artwork. Here's the link: Piehole

Some neat photos there as well! Here's an example:

Fun site!!! And I had to send them a message, not only telling them I liked their site, but asking where I could find their product. The recipes they listed sounded very intriguing!! Going to have to try some of them, and I hope it really isn't too sweet, since I don't have a huge "sweet tooth".

Nice of the neighbor to bring you something sort of unique as a thank you!

    Kind of like me???

I am hoping they are not lying. Their definition of "not too sweet" could still be too much for me! I'd hate to tone down my sour outlook on life, ya know?

    FG19,

Not too sweet at all! If you can't find it out your way let me know. I'll find it and send to you. What's your pleasure? Apple Cherry or Pecan Pie??

We have this locally, but never tried it. With Frank's endorsement, I'll have to try a bottle.

I'll look for it locally, but might take you up on that offer, if I cannot find it! Thank You!! I'd probably take Cherry as my first pick, Pecan as second choice, but probably would not turn down Apple either!

Pretty clever and I like the girls. I see it's a Canadian whiskey. They have been winning the hearts and clouding the minds of the Yankees all these years, now they have the Southern folks in their sights! Bless your hearts! I'll have to give it a try, although I'm not a big whiskey fan. I'm just glad they don't make one in Custard flavor.

A couple of us did crack open a 5th of Southern Comfort (a gift from my Yankee neighbor) one night when the snow was knee-deep and it was about 2 above zero, and we had just spent an hour trying to get his van started. I couldn't get my tongue back in my mouth, speak my own name or lift my head up off of my shoulder. Maybe that's why I let him drive Sharn Jean's car home. He stalled it on the RR tracks, opened the door and fell out and couldn't get back in the car. I think it took the rescue squad to get him back home. Luckily the old Impala was like a Sherman Tank in the snow and ice.
    Have wings, will travel.
