    Damn shame, I wanted to fly it. Pay attention to the engine type and cruise speed.

    Sorry to hear that. Those Rutan designs are amazing - both for performance and the "cool factor"!!

    Had a guy around here that lost his Long-EZ in a divorce. But, his ex-wife flew it all the time (plus she jumped out of perfectly good airplanes!). The really sad thing was that he lost his other homebuilt (can't remember what it was, but it was super high end!) when a "Progressive Insurance" agent drove off the road and into the hangar - destroyed the airplane. The sad thing was that Progressive only wanted to give him the cost of the materials for replacement after he'd been previously offered (and had documentation) well into 6 figures for the airplane from another pilot.
