    George Westinghouse died on this day in 1914.

    On this day in 1894, the first bottles of Coca-Cola, invented by Dr. John Pemberton, were sold in an Atlanta pharmacy.

    In 1755, the first reported use of a steam engine in America at a mine in North Arlington, NJ. The engine was put to use pumping water out of the mine. (The Great-great-grandfather of my 1025r, no doubt.... )
