Waterfalls of the Sipsey Wilderness in Northwest Alabama

Took a hike out this morning to see what some of the waterfalls looked like after 3 days of steady rain and they were beautiful. My first long hike of the year and I can tell a winter of just pushing the recliner back to the third level isn't nearly enough exercise to prepare for this type of hiking.

Beautiful pics - thanks for sharing!

The one thing that I miss most about being crippled up is not being able to hike in the woods like I used to. I feel so perfectly at home in the woods - at least I can take some small walks on my property.

The waterfalls are great - the way the woods looks there you could have taken those pics here in Penna (of course a couple months from now......).

    Cool hiking stick!

    Awsome pics.

Funny, today at work while being bored, I thought we should start a thread with pics from around where we all live. Would be neat to compare different places and the way our farms and towns look. And some of our landmarks from our point of view instead of google.

Thanks very much. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I had at least two more I planned on hiking to but I was just plain to tired to do so. All around about 8 miles to take in all of these falls. All are within 23 or 24 miles of my home.
