    Our recent Army graduate

Our 19 year old daughter was going to the local community college and out of the blue she said she wanted to join the Army. And not that we tried to discourage her but we told her to explore all branches of the military before she joined. But she had her mind made up and we couldn't have been more proud of her.
We had a going away party and talk to her twice in 11 weeks while at boot camp, which was hard for the whole family. But we definitely got good at writing letters back and forth. Last week we visited Fort Sill Oklahoma for a family day and graduation. We all cried tears of joy...it was so good to see her. And the graduation was a moving experience.
Words cannot even begin to explain how proud we are of her and all of our armed forces in this great country.
She is now in San Antonio for her advanced training where she is studying radiology.

Congratulations to your daughter and you and her Mom, Josh. I know you are proud of her as you should be. It's a tough decision for the young man or woman and tougher for the family. You obviously did a good job raising her. She is started off in a good field (radiology) that will keep her employed should she desire not to become a career Soldier.

Hooah to your daughter. Please keep us updated on her progress.
