Do you receive your regular monthly bills by mail or email?

I've been balking at this for a long time. Right now I receive about 1/2 my monthly bills via email and half through regular mail. The only ones I have opted for email or over the internet are the once who have given an incentive to do so or started charging for paper bills.

My credit union gives an incentive to fetch my statements on-line and my cable provider started charging $2 to get paper bills so I changed them. I still have a couple left that I receive from the mail. My biggest concern was that if something happened to me - even temporarily - my wife wouldn't see the bills in the mail and know to pay them. I take care of all the bills - my wife has a general idea of what comes in but what would she do if I am not able to access my email etc.?

Curious what other folks are doing.

The only statement I get through the mail is my bank statement.

Everything else is delivered & payed over the internet.

We used to get a mail box full of mail every day. Now we get maybe 1 or 2 pieces. Most of it is junk.

I used buy hundreds of stamps each year. I cannot remember the last time I bought a stamp.

I should have added - while I still get those bills through regular mail, I pay them on-line through my credit union bill payer service so no stamps used.

I use the bank's on-line bill pay service which pulls almost all of my bills in electronically. I still get the paper versions though. One of my credit cards (Capital One) refuses to allow my bank to pull my bill.

Not sure why I still get paper copies. I guess mostly because every now and then, the electronic systems mess up. Plus, it's easier to scan the paper bill and see what charges are listed in case someone unauthorized is trying to use my account.

Another thought about this for myself - I don't ever want to be dependent on a computer or internet connection for anything. If I don't have a computer or internet connection I can't receive or pay my bills if I don't get them in the mail.

Both ways. My wife pays most of the bills, but I am familiar enough to take over in case she gets sick and cannot. I think it is best for both to be able to continue.
