How's the weather at your place? - April 2015

I'm pretty happy to see April come - March was just another brutal month of winter weather for most of us.

The full moon in April is on the 4th. It is called the Pink Moon because it heralds the appearance of the moss pink, or wild ground phlox—one of the first spring flowers.

Also on the 4th is a total Lunar Eclipse. It will only be partially visible in the eastern US but mostly visible in the west. This is the shortest lunar eclipse in the 21st century lasting only 5 minutes. It will occur just before dawn.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Currently 30° with fog here around midnight - moisture coming off the wet 8" snowfall from earlier in the day. That 8" fell in 6 hours making quite an intense little storm.

Lots of thunder and lightning in the wee hours of the morning, but not a drop of rain...

Nice temps here. Might get a chance to get the supplies for a very small, (but needed) project that I am wanting to do. If I get it done, and it actually works as planned, I'll be sure and post it up. I'll take pics along the way, but won't know if it serves the intended function for a few weeks yet. (Don't you love suspense?)

Yeah - love the suspense! Also glad that your camera is a planned part of the your project. I still have to remind myself to bring the camera with me when I start something. I'm so glad most of the folks here post pics along with their projects.

23° this morning. Have a long distance doctor visit trip today - going to be rough going the first 50 miles until I get out of the mountains - I'm sure the roads are still covered in most places until I get to the southern part of the state.

It is an idea I have been working on in my head for a little while. So, you know it is nothing fancy. Sometimes, my dad said my projects looked like "widow woman's work". I'm just hoping to get it done, AND have it serve its purpose!

24 this morning, up to 55 today and sunny. Most of the snow we got melted yesterday. Tomorrow mid 60's and possible thunderstorms in afternoon. April now will see if we are done with snow.

46°F now and headed to 73°F. Another great day after as was the last couple days. Clear skies and great to be outdoors.

But the rains are coming later tonight and thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow.

    Have a great day.
