I use the first few weeks of spring to clean up brush from downed trees and trim trails that are getting overgrown until things green up and the brush becomes "lost" in the new growth.
While hauling brush with the 2030 and grapple I spotted a white arc with a fork to it about 20 yards into the woods. My first thought was shed deer antler. I have never found any shed antlers on the property. Never really hunted for them either. I think the critters chew them up pretty quick. The white arc was obscured by a deadfall. I went over and this is what I found: 9pt with a 19" spread. I am guessing from 2013 or 2014. We lost a lot of deer in 2013 to EHD.
