Thanks for sharing the great pics!

Even after living in Penna most of my life it never ceases to amaze me to learn some of the town names. This is a new one to me - I sound it out as Ohio Pile.......

Mike ,agree very beautiful , you can white water raft, kayak , walking trails , or the biking trail. Many things can be done all in 15-20 mile radius. Plus several very good restaurants in the area. The bike trail, can ride to Pittsburgh area and I think it is now connected to all the trails to D.C. Plus Fort Necessity , Nemacolin Woodland , The Frank Lloyd Wright Duncan House, and Laurel Caverns.

Just remembered spent a day or two their 44 years ago. Have ridden the trail many miles, a couple of time made a round trip to Connellsville .

Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob are there as well.

Fallingwater is probably his most famous. I kinda wanted to go but it was late in the day by the time we got done hiking.

    Here is Fallingwater.(Not my Photo)

I've been there a lot when I was younger to kayak and raft. Worst flash flood I've ever seen was there. Rained so hard it'd knock your arm down if you stuck your hand out into it for a bout 40 minutes just out of nowhere. Couldn't see 10 feet out into the parking lot. Resulted in the dam upstream at Confluence having to open all the valves and even then some water came over the emergency spillway. It was impressive to see. Also got chased by the literal wall of water coming down the mountain though it was only maybe 6' high. I'm sure 6' is enough to have killed us though if we'd stopped and stared.

You know, I honestly have no idea what's over there other than the campground below the dam, the paddling shops at Ohiopyle, and the river itself I guess I was kind of focused on one thing back then

When we lived in Ohio a few years ago some friends and I rode our motorcycles to Ohiopyle State Park. There must have been ~ 20 of us. Another friend met us there and brought down food, drinks and deserts in his van. We spent a long day hiking, swimming, rafting and eating. It was a loooong ride home after that! Beautiful place and I believe Ms. SGS has some photos in the archives somewhere.
