I know a lot of folks here like the WeatherTech floor mats and recommend them highly. Up until just this month, I was in that same boat. Not any more.
As a bit of background, the other half totalled her car back in October and bought a new Infinity Q50 as a replacement. We get snow/slush/muck in the winter so I wanted to order a nice set of floormats for her as a Christmas present. I've bought Weathertech products in the past and never had any issues. But the Q50 is kind of an "odd duck" and none of the usually places carried custom fit mats for it locally. So, just like their ads suggest, I went to their WWW site and ordered custom fits mats for her car.
Placed an order on Dec 7th, 2015 for front and rear floor mats in black. Got an email confirming the order within an hour. Their WWW site showed order "In-Progress". The note on their site says "In-Progress" means 3-7 business days to manufacture and prepare for shipping plus 3-4 days shipping time. Plenty of time to arrive for Christmas.
Heard NOTHING from them and finally called on Thursday, Dec 24th to inquire on status. Was told that they had tried to process my credit card multiple times but it wouldn't go through. They never once called or sent an email indicating there was any problem. WWW site still showed the order was "In-Progress". There was never any indication that they even tried to charge my card and there should have been no problems with them doing so. Gave them a different credit card number and was told they would take it to the finance people and call me back.
The charge posted to my credit card on Monday, Dec 28th. No call back from Customer Service. No email, no status change on the WWW site. No contact from Weathertech at all.
Received an email from FedEx that "something" was shipped to me on Dec 29th. Weathertech WWW site still showed the order "In-Progress".
Fedex delivered package the morning of Dec 31st. Front mats were wrong color. The rear mats are black but the included front mats are grey. The label that is on them doesn't match the order. Checked Weathertech WWW site and it still shows the order "In-Progress".
Called Customer Service again and after 30 minutes on hold was told (by "Steve") they would ship the correct front floor mats out today (31st) for delivery next week. We'll see how that pans out.
After talking to them I did a web search on them and holy jeebers! There are a LOT of complaints about this same sort of thing. I guess I learned my lesson. I didn't search before-hand because I'd never had issues before and everyone seems to recommend them but it looks like their customer service is going down the tubes.
