    Can you say "daily equipment adjustment/mainteance". Hundreds and hundreds of moving parts.

    They do have those machines in the US. Not sure about the concrete tie machines(probably though),but on the wooden tie ones,after the work shifts are complete,the maintenance crews work during the night to get them ready for the next days work.
