Yes!! Dish network is also having the same dispute if I understand correctly.

Spike TV has 2 hours of fantasy shops, tools, and projects every weekend. They call it PowerBlock. I missed last weekend....

I'm missing Spike a little, went to watch some recorded Auction Hunters and I just got the DirecTV logo and some music. Right now my main TV is giving me a 'searching for signal' sign, so it's not just Viacom channels, but all of them for me!! That I can not do!

I miss Tosh.O on Comedy Central. Also missed the Power Block on Spike. If it's not back on I think DirecTv is loosing a customer. We use NetFlix to watch lots of stuff anymore. It's just not worth the $100 a month. This is getting old. It seems like every 3 months our TV has a crawl along the bottom talking about calling your provider.

Dish Network is having it out with the people that run AMC. I can't remember who they are thou.

I can't wait until apple or google or even Microsoft brings these cable companies down. A-la-cart channel purchasing is the future! I just hope it happens in my life time.

I have the grand kids over a lot and not having Nickelodeon due the Viacom-Direct TV dispute is not good. But, satellite is my only option, not only for TV, but for internet. I couldn't watch any TV or movie off the internet as, 1. not enough download speed, and 2. not enough bandwidth due to FAP.

It is not like I am missing much. I miss some Spike but the channel has gone a bit lame lately and even lost the UFC. I do miss watching the occasional classic show on TV Land but that is about it. My kid is a little older now, so he is not into Nick as much. I do have Netflix and so I can always catch some classic TV on there. What does concern me is the fact that DirecTV has yet to say what they are going to do to credit customers for the missing stations. We are still paying for them as part of the packages! I am being patient, I understand these things do happen. However, they are not living up to their part of the contract and they need to inform customers clearly what will be done to correct the situation.

Yes, A-la-cart would be great! Pay a basic service fee, then a select what channels you want for say $3 a piece or so.

That is a great point, I had not considered that I am paying for channels I am not receiving-whether I want them or not.

Hell, I didn't even notice those channels missing until this thread!! Nothing I really watch on those channels,so I probably would have never noticed.

Well, they darn better do right by us. We get taken for rides by too many companies as it is. Don't need another one.

Oh man, I am all for that too. It couldn't happen too soon for me.
What do we have, a billion channels and maybe 10-20 or so are favorites. Wanting a certain channel and having to get the next package level only to make a custom/favorite where you uncheck 99% of those stupid channels you just had to pay for irks the you know what out of me.

That's a great idea! I watch 10-15 channels regularly, maybe another 10-15 every once and a while. I'm sure there's channels I have (don't know about) and haven't even watched. If I could subscribe to only the channels I watch and do like a 'pay-per view' of the the channels I don't use so regularly it would be awesome! I could see saving A LOT of $$$$
