How's the weather at your place? - March 2016

    Welcome to March!

February has seen all sorts of weather across the US - some of which was unusual due to a strong El Nino that has been effect. March brings the transitional weather from winter to spring.

The full moon in March is on the 23rd and called the Full Worm Moon. At the time of this spring moon, the ground begins to soften and earthworm casts reappear, inviting the return of robins.

Meteorological Spring starts March 1st while Astronomical Spring starts March 20th (Vernal Equinox).

Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins on March 13th this year - set your clocks ahead!

    and fall back".

Well, March 1st. Do tell, spring is a comin'!! Weeping cherry out front should be in full bloom around the 25th, the day my FIL past years ago and the day in '65 I was sworn in.

This 7 day gives you a clue as to this week and probably a better part of the month.

Snow in the Fox Valley of Wisconsin

Great thing is since only arrived yesterday I still have my Georgia plates on the car. Everyone sees those and gifts me a wide berth.

Temp overnight bottomed out at 30° and holding. Looks like the last "nice" day this week with a high predicted of 53°. Then nasty cold (for this time of year) for the rest of the week with highs only in the 30's.
