    Spilled Diesel Fuel .......Help

I spilled out about a gallon of diesel in the bed of my truck. How do I get it out of tie down straps, deer blind and bed liner?

You may never get the smell out 100 percent, but use a de-greaser like simple green.

I agree with Brian, Simple Green sprayed on full strength. Leave it on for at least 15 minutes. High pressure hose off. For the tie-down straps(after the Simple Green treatment and a day of drying) I also put a 5 lb box of baking soda in a 5 gallon pail, then put in the straps and then 5 lbs more of baking soda on top. Stayed in the pail for a week and came out pretty good.

But as Brian said a small odor may come back and this case it did when it sits in the sun on 70+degree days. In the long run it may be cheaper to get new straps and deer blind.

I have a carhart jacket that I destroyed with diesel. I was changing my fuel filter on my truck. Ford's design seems to guarantee a bath. Unfortunately, it was winter and I had my heavy denim jacket on. I have tried everything, the jacket still stinks. I am ready to throw it away.

Cat litter works good in the bed to soak is up and sweep out. Fabric and straps are another challange altogether, as others have stated............

Like others have said, try Green, Purple Power or any of the other name brands full strength. Then pressure wash , could do it the 2nd time same steps , but when all said and done ..May never get rid of odor.

    Good luck.
