America's deadliest sniper is no more as of today.

You probably have heard of Chris Kyle the decorated navy seal and sniper who made the round of talk shows and had a book out. Tonight I witnessed a lengthy police chase and had no idea at the time what it was all about. Other motorists were doing their best to get out of the way of the Chevy dually and all the law enforcement vehicles chasing it.

I learned a short time later that the driver of the truck was said to be the same man who shot and killed Chris today and Chris's neighbor at a gun range. The media is saying he is also a war veteran.

The anti-gun folks will probably use this for their cause.

My prayers go out for Chris's family and friends and the same for Chris's neighbor's family.

That is truly sad. He was a very interesting person to listen to. His Jessie Ventura story is great!

Was he the same guy that was on Son of Guns doing the AR build of the gun that "might" have killed Osama Bin Laden?

Brian, when I first heard of Chris's death yesterday, for whatever reasons I was thinking he had something to do with the Bin Laden raid. I haven't watched that show. I know he owned some sort of business and was seen on more than one tv show.

Maybe someone that has followed him more than I have will chime in on his military career.

I may have been incorrect on the exact vehicle the suspect was driving during the police chase. The Chevy dually I saw and others saw, was in or near the front of the line of vehicles traveling at a fast pace. It's possible that the vehicle I saw was driven by an off duty officer. There were numerous law enforcement agencies involved with the chase and with all the chaos going on, it's not always easy to get everything straight. The chase ended in south Dallas.

American Sniper is an excellent book,if anyone is into reading this type of stuff. He also dealt with PTSD,and that is why he was devoted to helping those suffering with it.

The anti-gun folks will probably use this for their cause.
Not sure what they could do with this.
To me,it just keeps hardening the fact that people with mental issues are the ones that we will eventually read about and see on the news.....and 10 out of 10 times not for something good.
