    Parents.......

So I get a call from my father today asking me if I wanted any horse manure. I have been pretty busy at work and he knows not to call and BS, but for some reason he felt this was important. So I stated the obvious, no thank you, I am not interested. He goes on to tell me that the neighbors have too much of the **** stored up and they need a place to put it, do I mind if they dump it on my property.

Now maybe I am too new school here, but this sounds like his neighbors problem, not mine, right?

So after he goes round robin and BS's with me a second he comes back to the horse manure and how he wants it in an area that he is going to plant some deer food. Long story short, I get busy and tell him fine, do what you want.

I now have 45 yards of horse manure in a pile that was dumped by 4 dump trucks 30 feet away from MY hunting blind.

If I only had the time to pay him back.

I swear he is going crazy the older he gets........

Wow. That's a lot of manure.

Is his neighbor any sort of elected official?

How much did you have to pay for it? That's going to make some nice compost in a couple years, and it will be a good "cover scent" for your hunting blind.

When we had a lot I'd sell it for $20.00 a pickup load and I'd load it for them. Always seem to sell it and never advertised either.

I found out last night that these horses are not kept in the stables and the only manure they collect is from the stables. So they must have a ton of horses!

I was planning on playing a joke on my Dad...... I was going to put a half load in our farm dump truck and dump it in his driveway in the morning. But now he is talking about buying a dump trailer and he also has access to this stuff every day. So I think I need to be smart and pick my battles....

I need a different way to get back at him.

Find the nearest nursery for kids and tell them you are doing an experiment on disposable diapers. Ask them to save and bag the used ones up for you. When you get enough, unload them at your dad's place where he'll get a nice surprise one morning.
