I should take pics of how much damage the cones sustained over the last few days. And yes, they sit for treats. They sit for their food bowl to be refilled, water bowl to be refilled and at randomly commanded intervals throughout the day and they're starting to get the hang of "stay" but that'll take a few months yet before it's really sticky.

Beautiful beaches, moderated summer heat and lake effect snows. Right where I want to be.

We were always worried that the cones would either end up causing an injury as our kids would get it caught going up and down steps through doors, etc. Not to mention they banged into all kinds of things with the cones. It must really be annoying to have to wear those things. Someone should make a human version and all Veterinary students should have to wear a cone for a full day, everywhere they go, to appreciate the impact they have on one's ability to move gracefully, etc for their future patients.

I can't get over the coat difference on those 3 siblings. From a curly hair to straight and one sort of in the middle. To have them sitting for treats and eating respectfully at such a young age is very impressive. They look like smart kids.........They probably create video moments everyday just with their daily antics. Dogs really like being part of a pack and your three are fortunate they all were able to remain together. We are glad they are all doing well and are free of their cones. They look happier.

Hope they are enjoying their toys and treats. Have they figured out the Tree stump and squirrels yet? Many younger dogs we have given that toy to really have fun with it...........Older dogs aren't as fascinated with it.

The squirrel toy comes out today. I didn't think it would be fair to unleash it while they were struggling with the cone dysphoria.

We often joke that we bought 3 labradoodles but based on their coats we got 1 doodle, 1 poodle and 1 lab. They are so wickedly smart that it's amazing how quickly they catch on to things. It's a lot of fun watching them play and interact with each other, it actually makes life a bit easier in some ways to have 3, we don't have to be their sole source of entertainment.

Yep, the squirrels are a huge hit.

They're loving being thoroughly spoiled by their benefactors.
