Beautiful beaches, moderated summer heat and lake effect snows. Right where I want to be.

K9's will only lie fully exposing their belly like this when they are extremely comfortable in their surroundings. Dog's know how vulnerable they are when they sleep exposing all of their vital organs and when they can't readily respond or defend themselves. So everything I have read written by "Dog Experts" on their behavior comment about how satisfied and comfortable the dogs must be with their safety and surroundings to sleep or even lie like that.

They should be comfortable in their surroundings. But we have had some dogs who will never lie like that, my Chloe Belle was one. She was always very "edgy" and would respond to any noise. She would bark assuming there must be something going on while Sulley is the type who seems to confirm something is going on before she barks.....

One pair of German Shepherds we had years ago and who got along very well, one used to always snatch the toys and treats from the other. She was very clever in how she would create diversions. In fact, the best "scam" she came up with was she would run to the front door barking as if there was someone there and Vito, the other German Shepherd would drop what ever toy or treat she was working on to run and see what Wolfie was barking at. In the process, Wolfie would immediately turn around and go snatch whatever Vito had that she wanted.......and Vito ALWAYS fell for this......I think they were both in on at as the years went on and played the game......

Finally got a pic of all three on the bed.

Also, here's a pic of the old man that I bought the bed for, may he be resting in peace...

Actually she was hot. That day was in the 80’s and she spent most of it outside. When I let them in, she laid down winding up in that position to cool off. But yes, she’s very comfortable with me. She’s a Texas hurricane rescue and is one pistol packin’ mamma! She don’t take no s*^t from anyone and is a very competent little watch dog and critter hunter. She thanks me daily for rescuing her and has become an irreplaceable part of our family.

Dynamite Robinson, there should be a big Brown Truck coming to your house tomorrow.......and the package is addressed to him. Hope he enjoys....... It's designed as a "Get Well" package for Dynamite. ..................We genuinely hope he has many, many more happy and healthy years with his family.
