    Speaking of sandwiches...

It looks like they just went down the line at the cafeteria and told them to put it all between two pieces...homemade by the way...of bread and leave it at that.

Of course Oklahoma has not only the best hamburgers in the world, we have the biggest!

Well, we Okies win one occasionally...that includes football games. The festival, held in May, also has a car show, which I attended once upon a time. They had a parade that year, and for some reason put the classic cars behind the equestrians. The onion burgers were good though! Back in the olden days, when I was in high school, they had an onion burger joint in Enid. It was about a block off the square...called Dan & Bakes...and you could smell them cooking for several blocks in every direction. They were about the size of quart fruit jar lid, and sold for ten cents. You always ordered three or four. Fried onion burgers are absolutely wonderful!

Now you've done it Dennis... I need a burger! I'm calling the misses now so she can have one or two ready when I get home before I head back to work tonight on my third job! Screw the doctor... A man can only hold out for so long and I'm weak!

Egg sandwiches remind me too much of my poverty stricken childhood. I can go for an occasional breakfast burrito though...

You and me both Dennis, We didn't have a pot to p*** in nor a window to throw it out of. Mom did the best she could with dad in the navy and never home, and we didn't know any better either. I really don't remember having eggs for breakfast, toast yes, cereal and tang as we got a little older. The only time I do remember having a good breakfast was when dad would come home and we would head to his mother's house in Rhode Island for the weekend. Nanna was a great cook. She used to give me and my brother a buck when we were leaving to go buy ice cream or something,, Dad used to frown on it and say she was spoiling us. Ya growing up in Southie we were really spoiled! fighting everyday with other irish kids, that was great. NOT. This must be why I Love the country and we go out to eat almost every day during the weekends. Lousy childhood reflections. MY brother is the same way now. When we were kids we never went out to eat anywhere and if we did, me and my brother could only have a hot dog and some fries. While we sat there watching him drink his milkshake and wolf down whenever he ordered and we didn't dare make a peep either, that hand would come across the table pretty quick. Ma, never said a word.
We will be eating Mexican tonight as we do every Thursday.. I could go for one of those breakfast burritos right now,, first it was the hamburger and now the burrito.. You are a bad influence on me!!! But I love it! And I did have a burger last night for my 30 minutes of time off and it was good, (wifes a great cook)! Thanks for the idea. Have a great day.
