    New tires for the 1020

I finally had to buy a new set of rear tires for my 1020. The old Goodyears were dry rotted and I ripped a sidewall a few weeks ago skidding some pines. I looked at several brands and finally settled on Harvest Kings. I know they are not Firestones, but what I will be using these for, I'm not disappointed at all. I had them put on Friday and they look very good. I got them for $320 a piece, so not too bad. I also greased everything and did a oil change while I had her at home. I also greased the Kubota while I had the time. Pressure washed everything and they're ready for the summer.

Sure is a good lookin' 1020! It deserved some new skins. This may be the first one I've seen with the larger diameter wheels. Are the tires a 23 degree tread design?

Those tires are tall. Mine has the 28" tires. I notice your and my 1020 are alot alike You have the lower exhaust and the same seat. I have turf tires on mine I use it to pull a 72" landpride mower. They are great tractors.

Thanks for the comments. The 1020 is a HU (high utility) model and has 38" wheels. The tires are 13.6x38. The old girl was used and abused when I bought her, but knew she was a diamond in the rough. I am proud of the way it turned out and has proven to be a very reliable and durable piece of equipment....
