And I think I'm gonna do a nut and bolt, or something fairly detailed at least.
The 420 was in very good shape but there were a few things that bugged me, the biggest being thing being incorrect rear rims i.e size and type. To me tires and rims are extremely important, especially on a Hi-Crop. So I started looking for the two needles in a hay stack, and I lucked out. Dengler Tractor in Ohio had a pair from a Hi-Crop they'd parted many years ago. They were expensive and needed re-rimming but i bought em anyway. They also sold me the front rims too, and took care of putting new rims on the rear centers for me.
Once I had the rims I couldn't wait to get the tires, so off to the tire shop. I wanted Firestone and planned on getting Traction Field and Road, but then I saw these and was hooked.
I'm currently working on the dual TOM (touch o matic) TPH unit and I could not get over how clean it was inside for a 55 year old tractor!
I also managed to find a complete set of lower link mounts for it since mine had none of the mounts or arms.
