    John Deere 212

As some of you may have seen, my step son has found a solid 212 lawn tractor. Needs the usually TLC from a machine that has been mowing lawns every summer since it was purchased new.

As I look for parts for him as gifts I wondered where the best places to shop. Does Deere still support these order machines?

I looked at eBay and you can find some stuff but the usually hassles of shipping and are they correct and complete. How about the online stores? Since he will be doing most of the work I don't want to give him parts that are not correct and cause undo grief. That is not a good present if it is wrong.

I would like to start with a new seat and maybe a repair/assembly manual.

    Any thoughts?

Quite a few parts are still available from the dealer.

    Try greemfarmparts.com

There's also HAPCO. They deal with a lot of NLA parts from JD.
